Sarah Hurd-Williams is an ordained minister and has served on various ministry boards, leadership teams and community projects. Dr. Hurd-Williams possesses a rich and dynamic experience in successfully implementing outreach projects, emergency assistance programs and spiritual support activities. She has served as an Outreach Director for 28 years and is active in her community through her ministry and membership at her home church, The Refreshing Place Ministries, Inc. Sarah serves in many capacities including Board of Directors, Director of Sunday school and a volunteer with Project Outreach at TRPM. Dr. Hurd-Williams has served as a volunteer cleric with DeKalb County for burial of the indigent from 1999- 2013.
Sarah was married to the late Bobby Hurd for 47 years and they have 3 daughters, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren, one granddaughter in-law and one great grand. She was the co-host of “The Bobby Hurd Show” seen on WATC TV57 Atlanta for three years with her husband. The show aired for 15 years.
August 4, 2013, Dr. Hurd-Williams began to host A Time in the Word with Sarah Hurd, Sunday mornings at 6am on WATC TV57. She is a published author, Time in the Word, a Bible Study Guide. Sarah has hosted radio shows on WYZE Atlanta and WVTJ Pensacola, FL., as well as, established a Bible School through Birthing Vision Ministries, Inc. as a satellite site for North Carolina Theological Seminary.
Dr. Hurd-Williams received her degrees from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA, and North Carolina College of Theology in Wilmington, NC. She is a certified Bible CEU provider and Life Growth Coach through Dream Releaser Coaching since 2011.
Sarah was honored in 2014 for 32years of outreach services at the Safford’s Honors Ball. In 2015 Sarah was an Atlanta Gospel Choice Nominee for Best Broadcast Personality; 2016 received the President’s Volunteer Service Lifetime Achievement Award for over 4,000 hours in volunteer service, Humanitarian Cultural Arts and Music Award, 2021 Keepers of the Flame Award, The State of Georgia Outstanding Georgia Citizen and awarded the prestigious Spiritual Enlightenment Award from the Trumpet Awards Foundation in 2017 just to name a few. Dr. Hurd-Williams has been featured many times on TBN Spotlight Ministry. On October 3, 2021 Sarah married Robert Lee Williams Sr.
